- Chicken and Fish are advised preferably grilled or roasted. Avoid frying meat.
- Red meat and organ meat are to be avoided.
- Brown rice can be substituted with Millets, Ragi or Oats
- Salt consumption should not be excess
- Six to Eight glasses of water to be consumed
- 60 minutes of light exercises – walking or yoga or simple exercises
- Seasonal fruits and vegetables to be consumed – avoid canned or processed fruits.
- Whole fruit is advised instead of juice due to loss of fibre while juicing
- Low fat milk and yogurt advised.
- Avoid fried foods, takeaways and food with high sugar and salt content
- Avoid soft drinks and deserts.
- Avoid alcohol
