Dr. URK Rao
Dr URK Rao has been in the field of Rheumatology for over 40 years. He did his MBBS in Osmania medical college, Hyderabad and MD General Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical sciences, New Delhi. He worked in the Nizam Institute of Medical Sciences as faculty initiating the Rheumatology services in combined state of AP in 1983. He was a visiting fellow in the prestigious Guys hospital, London. He has been associated with research including drug development and participated in over 40 clinical drug trials as the principal investigator. He has several publications to his credit with over 100 articles and research papers. He was the editor in chief of the Manual of Rheumatology and has authored various text book chapters. He was the President of Indian Rheumatology Association and has received Dr MN Passey lifetime achievement award in 2015.
Dr. Deepti Challa
Dr. Deepti Challa has completed her MBBS from Deccan college of medical sciences and her post graduation in General Medicine from MAHER university. She has trained in Rheumatology at the Wrightington hospital of the WWL NHS trust for four years and was successfully awarded the MMed Rheumatology degree.She has been the recipient of the " Andrew Foster award of Excellence" award as the best outing student at the Rheumatology training. She has extensive research experience and has co-authored multiple research articles and has presented these publications at many prestigious international conferences.She has been a part of multiple clinical studies for new drug developement.

Sri Deepti Rheumatology Center was established in 1994 as an exclusive Rheumatology out patient clinic in Hyderabad with its motto “To cure sometimes, to relieve often and to comfort always”. In defining the nature of the Rheumatological conditions this center aims to create awareness, understanding of the conditions with patient-based care in relieving the varied symptoms and reducing the disease severity. This center has a comprehensive setup for Rheumatology including physiotherapy, pharmacy and laboratory to facilitate ease of availability.
